Plantations International is very pleased to announce that on May 5th. 2021, its Malaysian subsidiary United Tropical Fruit Sdn Bhd, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, hosted over 70 Semaq Beri indigenous families and over 100 children for its Holy month of Ramadan food drive. The United Tropical Fruit team distributed food parcels to all the families as well as gifts to all the children.

According to Dr. Raymond Samy, United Tropical Fruit’s MD, “It was truly a blessed day. All of the parents and the children really enjoyed themselves. It’s a great feeling to give back to the community, especially during these difficult times.”

Malaysian Organic Musang King Durian Inauguration Event 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jerantut district will be the pioneer and largest producer of organic Musang King clones in Pahang.

According to Ahmad Nazlan, the D197 organic Musang King, one of the latest markets to Europe and China, will be pioneered by UTP to be able to generate changes in the local economy and income of the population based on agriculture and tourism sectors.

Jerantut will be the pioneer in the production of D197 organic Musang King durian when the plantation project is developed in this district soon.

Jerantut Member of Parliament, Ahmad Nazlan Idris said, the government will provide 40 hectares of land for the project which will be undertaken by an international plantation company, United Tropical Fruit (UTP).

6 of Thailand’s top tourist zones WILL start opening for quarantine-free travel in July – TAT

Full steam ahead. The Tourism Authority of Thailand insists that the sandbox re-opening plans for 6 of Thailand’s most economically sensitive tourist magnets will start on July 1… July 2021.

Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga, Koh Samui, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai will, according to the TAT, be open to foreign tourists who have received 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine (or 1 if that’s the vaccine dose of a registered vaccine in Thailand).
