2022 Has Been a Big Year For Durian in China

There's good news for Chinese durian lovers: More shipments of the pungent-smelling tropical durian fruit are making their way into China from Southeast Asia, thanks to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, or RCEP. A batch of 18.24 metric tons of fresh Vietnamese durians arrived in Youyiguan Port in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in late September. Thailand’s Durian Exports to China up 14% on the Year

It is currently the durian season in Thailand. Chanthaburi, a producer in eastern Thailand, set the record of receiving orders for 20 tons (approximately 10,000) of fresh durians from Chinese buyers in one day. The product will be transported to the Port of Shenzhen by chartered flights and distributed to all parts of China within 1 to 2 days.
