Philippines: AMAD helps to sell onions brought from Occidental Mindoro

The Department of Agriculture in the Zamboanga Peninsula (DA-9) has teamed up with a farmer's group in the province of Occidental Mentaloro to sell their red onions within the region for a less expensive cost. The linkage to market was made on Thursday by the AMAD of the DA-9 and CBSIFAI. Contoroy Bato Singit Irrigators Farmers Association, Inc. (CBSIFAI) located in Occidental Mindoro. The price is eye-watering for just one onion in the online checkout at Sainsbury’s

Customers at Sainsbury's were stunned when they were being charged PS15 just for one onion. Customers were particularly confronted by the pricey onion at the grocery store's online check-out. A customer was hit with a the bill of PS45.39 after putting three small brown onions into her shopping basket. Sainsbury's apologized, and blamed a glitch on its website. China imports the first shipment of Iranian citrus by the air

The Chinese General Administration of Customs (GAC) on the 31st of August 2022, signed an agreement together with Iranian Ministry of Agriculture on permitting the import of Iranian oranges into China which was the first agreement on importation of fruit between China and Iran. The initial batch of 1.78 tons of oranges originating from Iran were shipped into China by plane through Shanghai Pudong International Airport. To keep the oranges new, Shanghai Customs has implemented an efficient clearance procedures.
